Winterbreathe, presented at Mainparty in Arles, France. This demo was presented in the hugescreen compo, a display of 3000m^2 on the roof of the party place. It was awesome to watch it in such conditions. awesome! awesome!
became 5th in the results. blaah
So here it is, new demo is out! It’s called Taxesss from Nothing and it was released at Mainparty this year. This demo started as an idea from my good friend and work colleague, ps, who usually watches my experiments in first hand. After watching some of the stuff you can see in my vimeo account, he came out with this piece for a grindcore jazz track from The Lost Gorbachevs. After handing him all the sources, he started building the demo while i was working on my own idea. Well, it turns out Taxesss is out and has been quite well accepted by the alternative parties, and my own project is still waiting to come out.. Hope you enjoy this piece.
After releasing Deep’s source code, i thought to myself i could also release an old production of mine, Sunflower.
Sunflower is a visual non-interactive application a.k.a. demo, feat. music from Four Tet.
Deep is a demo created by me and Filipe “ps” Cruz. Following it’s subtle success and a few requests, i thought it would be useful to make it’s source code public. Hope you enjoy it, and make sure you watch the demo.
It should be easy to get it rolling, but if you get problems, read the “readme.txt” file and make sure you have installed the dependencies. Once that is done, open the project and run it. Don’t forget to let me know if you liked it. Have fun.
Sidescroll. This is a small clip of a project i started last year, and haven’t got back to it since then. It’s sitting in my hd, waiting for some motivation and will (anyone?). Anyway, I wanted to make something different from my other stuff, something that looked good and had no fancy 3d, even if i used 3d meshes (which i do as “flowers”) and was based on simple scrolling and that had a sunset-like look. So this is what i got I have some new ideas for this one, some new pieces to put in and lots of rewriting so it sits on top of my framework and get rid of old and bad code. Anyway i thought i would publish this video as a prototype and hopefully i’ll get the finale somewhere along this year and ready for a demoparty.
PS. If you are a 2d artist and would love to contribute for this, you know where to find me.
